Addenum

Never go shopping for a new pair jeans when you are feeling bloated and therefore fat. And what is up with jeans no longer being <$100.00????!!!! For those of you that have figured out where I live, can you tell me where I can find a nice pair of jeans. Something that will fit like my Joe Jeans or my PepeLondon but will not cost me the same amount. I think the problem is that once you go designer you can't go back. The jeans I have fit so amazing, feel great and make my ass look AWESOM plus they do last 4+ years. Which is the problem. I want to have another kid in the future (under 4 years) and do not want to worry about having to lose weight or having to fit back into jeans. Though it could be motivation. Advice?

I'm not going to be much help here. I get mine at Additon-elle. . . .

What about Plen+y? I just bought a pair of Mavi jeans there for around eighty, though they do have the horrifically expensive designer types too. Roots? At one point they had nice jeans.

I'll join you in feeling bloated too by the way. Yuck. Nothing like having family here and someone else cooking to get me to put on the weight.

I bought my last pair at Express. They are lovely and I only paid $60 for them.

Sometimes you can find good jeans at overstock.com. E-bay drives me crazy now, but I used to get really great deals there on tons of designer stuff.

Erm, I wear Gap jeans, is that still allowed? Or should I take the next time machine back to the 90s?

Good suggestions gals!
Isis - we don't have Express up North :)

MicrobiologistXX - I LOVE overstock. Never heard of it before but they have Paper & Denim for $50!
Mel / Cath - I was thinking either Gap or Mavi's but if they're $120, I might as well fork over another $50 and get my Joe's

I looove my jeans from Banana Republic. Although they were $80 last time I checked but my butt looks so good in them ;) and they have boot cut legs and not to slim, and not high nor low waist... just a pair of regular jeans.

Otherwise I have found a cheaper pair at Ann Taylor Loft. They have both curvy (which I can not wear) and reguar... and boot cut, dark wash and all under $55.

No advice, but this is what I dislike about the whole maternity thing.
I successfully quit smoking, after a year when I was on the way to feel normal again (shapewise), I got pregnant twice in three years. I was never fat or overweight but also not in the shape I feel comfortable in, and now, a year after my last child, I finally got there and fit in my five-year old jeans again (hurrah!) adn don't have to consider shape-shifts when I go shopping for clothes. All nice, but we'd maybe want to have another little critter... Did you ever consider adoption? (kidding..)

My Gap jeans are more like $80-$90. They stopped doing my favourite kind though!
